Liz Johnson is a social worker in supervision, completing her Master’s in Social Work at the University of Pittsburgh. She holds a BA in Social Justice, and her background in political organizing informs her belief that personal healing and collective liberation are inseparable. She works collaboratively with clients to find approaches that honor mind, body and spirit.

In her practice, Liz integrates somatic approaches, polyvagal theory, attachment work, and psychoanalytic thought, always through an anti-oppressive and intersectional lens. She focuses on supporting people navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress, with particular attention to how identity and social location impact mental health. She is committed to offering affirming care for people whose identities, bodies, or ways of being are often marginalized. Liz sees therapy as a collaborative process of making meaning, reclaiming agency, and creating new possibilities for living, relating, and being-in-the-world.

Liz is passionate about philosophy, political theory, and the stories we tell about ourselves and each other. She loves listening to and making music, art house cinema, and dogs.
